Chaniotis is a seaside resort on the Kassandra peninsula, the first prong of Halkidiki, set along a long sandy beach with shallow, calm water. It is one of the most popular family resorts in the region, with a pedestrian zone full of tavernas, patisseries and shops that comes alive on summer evenings. For Macedonian visitors Chaniotis has for decades been among the favourite destinations for a driving holiday, a relatively short drive from the border, with a wide choice of apartments and hotels.
