Marsa Alam is a resort in the southern part of Egypt's Red Sea coast, quieter and less developed than Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. The region is known for its pristine coral reefs and rich marine life, including rare species, which makes it especially prized among divers. Along the shore stretch more isolated all-inclusive resorts. For Macedonian visitors Marsa Alam is a winter destination for a calmer holiday by charter flight. The climate is warm and dry for most of the year, with plenty of sun and a warm sea even in the winter months, so the main season runs from October to April.
