Sozopol is an old coastal town in the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, south of Burgas, with a historic core on a small peninsula. It is known for its wooden houses with stone ground floors, narrow lanes and ancient traces from its time as the Greek colony of Apollonia.
