About Sozopol
Sozopol is an old coastal town in the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, south of Burgas, with a historic core on a small peninsula. It is known for its wooden houses with stone ground floors, narrow lanes and ancient traces from its time as the Greek colony of Apollonia. Quieter and more picturesque than the large centres to the north, Sozopol is popular with visitors who value character and an artistic atmosphere.
