The whole medieval core, protected by UNESCO, is packed into narrow stone lanes, with a cathedral and a fortress at the water's edge. Trogir is a destination for walks and history, but also a comfortable base for the beaches and islands nearby. For Macedonian visitors it is an appealing stop on the Dalmatian coast, reached by a longer drive or by flight.
