About Skiathos

Skiathos is a small island in the Northern Sporades group, in the western Aegean, covered in pines that descend almost to the water. Despite its small size, the island is known for dozens of sandy beaches and for a lively main town with a harbour. Skiathos combines nature, a beach holiday and an evening atmosphere in a compact space. For Macedonian visitors it is reached by flight or by ferry via the mainland. Summers are hot and dry, with August sea temperatures of around 27°, and the season runs from late May into September.
