About Thasos
Thassos is a green island in the northern Aegean, opposite the coast of Kavala, covered in pine forests and circled by a ring road along the sea. The island is known for its clean beaches, marble cliffs and mountain villages inland, with a calmer rhythm than the larger tourist islands. For Macedonian visitors Thassos is among the most accessible Greek islands, reached by car to Keramoti and a short ferry. Summers are hot and dry, with August sea temperatures of around 27°, and the season runs from late May into September.
